Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Warden Discord bot and this website store, why, and for how long. Warden is run by a single operator; it is not affiliated with Discord.
What the bot stores
Only what its features need, per server:
- Server settings: the welcome channel, message and role, whether the welcome card is on and its background image, if one was uploaded or linked, the mod-log channel, the AutoMod protection level, the server log channel and which events it logs, the time zone, the embed color, the bio set for Warden in the server and the manager roles (roles allowed to use the dashboard). Warden's avatar and banner in a server go straight to Discord: Warden doesn't keep them. The welcome card is drawn from a new member's avatar and name when they join and posted in the server; Warden doesn't keep it either.
- Join roles: the roles given on join (to members, to bots, and those a sync skips), the join options, the Discord user IDs a manager listed with their extra roles (removed once given, if the server chooses), and members waiting for a delayed role until they get it or leave.
- Warnings: the warned member's Discord user ID, the moderator's user ID, the reason and the date.
- Word filter: the words a server's moderators added.
- Role buttons (role panels): each panel's channel, message, title, text, mode, its buttons (role, label, emoji) and the image a manager uploaded or linked for it, if any (Warden downloads a linked image once and keeps that copy; it is deleted with the panel). Clicks are not recorded: Warden only gives or removes the role.
- Temporary voice channels: each channel's owner and its lock, hide, permitted and blocked members, until it is deleted. Each member's last channel settings (name, limit, bitrate, region, lock, hide, permitted and blocked members) are kept to apply to their next channel, until they reset them or Warden leaves the server.
- Statistics: daily counts per server (members, joins, leaves, messages per channel, moderation actions, messages blocked by AutoMod), kept 90 days. Only numbers: no user IDs and no message content.
Messages
The bot does not read or store what messages say (it only counts them for the statistics). The word filter and the protection levels are rules in Discord's own AutoMod, which Warden sets up in the server: Discord checks the messages, blocks the ones that break a rule and, if the server has a mod-log channel, posts an alert there with the blocked message so moderators can review it. These rules stay in the server's AutoMod settings if Warden is removed; admins can delete them there.
If a server turns on the server log, Warden posts in that server's log channel when members join or leave, when messages are deleted or edited and when roles or nicknames change: who, where and when (with the member's user ID), never what a message said. These entries are Discord messages in the server; Warden does not keep a copy.
The website
- Logging in with Discord gives the website your user ID, name and avatar
(
identify) and the list of servers you are in with your permissions there (guilds), used only to show the servers you can manage. - Your login is kept in an encrypted cookie (your user ID, name, avatar and a security token) for up to 7 days or until you log out. Discord's access token stays on the server, in memory only, and is discarded at logout, when it expires or when the service restarts.
- The website uses no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies.
Logs
The service keeps technical logs (errors, server joins and leaves, website logins with your user ID) to keep it running. Logs are not shared.
Deletion
When Warden is removed from a server, everything stored about that server is deleted immediately. If it was removed while the bot was offline, or you want warnings about you deleted, write to warden@raidslot.gg.
Sharing
Data is never sold. Besides Discord itself, it only reaches the hosting provider that runs the service.
